Joining materials by welding are an essential part of material processing in many different industries. From superstructure as big as ship building to microelectronic as small as microchips, materials from various metals/alloys to all different kinds of engineering plastics, welding processes play an important role in joining materials together. Unlike traditional welding methods, Laser Welding can be carried out with the least Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) which can minimize the adverse effects caused by undesired phase transformation of microstructure. Together with the repeatability and precision of laser beam action, industrial automated laser welding can be carried out with supreme quality and cost effectiveness. Workpieces can be joined with surface welding or in depth welding, and with the addition of our beam manipulation and profiling methods, workpieces with wider seam or lower tolerance can be joined with our laser technology. By manipulating different laser components and their parameters, materials that are almost impossible to join by other methods can now be realized by using laser sources of different wavelengths, modes and intensities.
